FE First Awards 2013 for marketing excellence now open

June 14, 2013

Launched now – the 2013 FE First Awards for Marketing Excellence. Start planning your entries for the awards that celebrate the best in college marketing – to be awarded at our Gala Dinner on Monday 25th November 2013 at the Hilton Hotel Warwick as part of our 26th Annual Conference.

There are several new categories this year, based on feedback from College Marketing Network members who have been consulted at our 2013 regional meetings. We have tried to take all suggestions into account, and would like to thank all members who took part and gave us their thoughts.

Have your hard work and achievements recognised by your peers and your colleagues by entering some of your campaigns and projects for an award in 2013. We know it takes time to complete your entries but our proforma entry forms make it as easy and straightforward as possible. Remember judges value concise entries.

The categories for the FE First Awards 2013 are:

  • FE Marketing Professional*
  • Marketing Team of the Year*
  • 14-19 Campaign/Summer Campaign
  • Best targeted recruitment/engagement campaign
  • Social media campaign
  • PR campaign, sponsored by Pressvine
  • Website development project, sponsored by FEmarketing
  • Innovative use of technology, sponsored by Blackboard
  • Events management

Although most categories are open to non-member colleges at the non-member rate, the Marketing Team and FE Marketing Professional categories are ONLY open to colleges in current membership of the College Marketing Network on 25th November 2013.

What Awards will be made?
Judges can award a Gold, Silver and Highly Commended award in each category EXCEPT for the FE Marketing Professional category, where there is one winner only. Judges reserve the right not to make all the awards if they do not feel any entries reach their expected quality.

The following items must be included with each entry:

  • 1 awards entry form to cover all the categories you enter (download from the website or cut from the Awards brochure);
  • A purchase order number or cheque to cover the entry fee for the total number of entries;
  • 3 copies of each category submission, including any prospectuses, brochures or campaign literature, in 3 separate folders;
  • A completed proforma executive summary at the front of each of the three copies of your entry.

Don’t forget there are separate proforma entry forms and guidance for each category. Your entry MUST be made on the correct proforma which is available for download on the website at www.m-network.org

Costs: CMN members – £70 per category for the first 2 categories entered or £65 per category if three or more are entered; £105 per category for non-members.

Extra information about the categories, criteria and how to enter can be found on the website at www.m-network.org. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE GUIDANCE AND THE PROFORMAS, even if you have entered the Awards before, as there are specific requirements for your entry. If you do not read and follow the guidance, your entry may not be considered.
